About finding and adding content

The map you work with in ArcGIS Explorer Online includes a basemap that provides background or contextual information for additional content you place on top. You can add content from several other sources to augment what the map conveys or provide the basis for understanding the place you are investigating more fully. This additional content can come from ArcGIS Online, GIS servers that are available on your local machine or network, or servers publicly available on the Internet.
