Quick tour of presentations
Any map that you open or create can contain a presentation. In addition to content, such as a basemap, layers, and features, an ArcGIS Explorer Online map can also contain a collection of presentation slides that help to communicate the importance of that content.
Presentations can be easily shared with other users, allowing you to communicate more about your work. You can view a presentation using the ArcGIS.com map viewer. If a map has a presentation, you can choose that other users opening your map are taken directly to the presentation, instead of initially viewing the map.
Running a presentation
To start the presentation for a map that you've opened, on the Presentation toolbar, click the Start Presentation button .
The presentation displays the map in full-screen mode and shows the first slide. You can go to the next slide by pressing SPACE, or the previous slide by pressing PAGE UP. To end the presentation at any time, press ESC. You can also control the presentation using the Presentation Navigator at the bottom of the display to go to the next or previous slide, end the presentation, or quickly jump to any slide in the presentation.
While you are on a slide, you are free to interact with the map normally, including navigating, closing any open pop-ups, clicking on features to open additional pop-ups, and so on. Just press SPACE to go to the next slide and continue the presentation.
