Add a title to a slide

When a slide is first created, the slide title box will read 'Click to add title'; this is a placeholder and will not be visible when running the presentation. To enter a title for the slide, select the title box in the main map panel, and type the required text.

Remove a title from a slide

When the slide title box is selected, press DELETE; the slide title will revert to the default saying 'Click to add title' which will not be visible in the presentation.

Format the appearance of a slide title

You can change the location and appearance of the slide title by opening the Slide Title panel from the Format Slide Title button on the Presentation toolbar.

You can pick from one of the Quick Styles, a gallery of predefined styles of format for a title. Alternatively, you can configure each aspect of appearance individually by choosing Custom at the bottom of the Slide Title panel.

The Custom view of the Slide Title panel allows you to choose:

  • The color of the text
  • The font used for the slide title
  • Whether the font is bold, italic, or underlined
  • The justification of the title, to the left, center, or middle of the slide
  • A specific font size, or use the buttons to increase or decrease font size
  • The color of the background box of the text
  • The opacity of the background box and its outline
  • The color and thickness of the background box outline

NoteNote:

Because the style you choose for a title is often the same, or very similar across slides in a presentation, the title format from the last active slide will become the default format for titles as new slides are created.
