About presentations
In addition to using ArcGIS Explorer Online to explore and ask questions about the geography in the map, you can also use the application to communicate important information to others about that geography by using your map as a presentation. As well as the basemaps and layers that make up the geography you see displayed in the application, a map can also contain a collection of slides that you can step through as a presentation to review important information for yourself, or to present to others.
To view or edit a presentation, open the map in ArcGIS Explorer Online, click Presentation in the status area to show the Presentation toolbar. The Slide Strip, shown at the bottom of the screen, lists the slides that have been captured for the presentation in the order they will be presented. Each slide is numbered and displayed with a thumbnail of what it looks like.
Changes that you make to the map extent, the basemap, the visibility of layers, the time extent for time-enabled layers, and the title are saved for each specific slide.

To run a presentation, click the Start Presentation button on the Presentation toolbar. This will show the first slide in full-screen mode. When you are running a presentation, you are free to interact with the map normally, including navigating, closing any open pop-up windows, clicking on features to open additional pop-up windows and so on. Your position in the presentation will be maintained, and when you go to the next slide, the presentation will continue as expected.
You can go to the next slide by pressing the spacebar, or use the Presentation Navigator shown at the bottom of the screen to move to the next or previous slide, or to choose a specific slide from a list of thumbnails. You can end the presentation at any time by clicking the End Presentation button on the Presentation Navigator, or by pressing the ESC key. The presentation will end automatically when you advance past the last slide.

You can also share presentations, either by simply sharing the map, or by sharing a link which will open Explorer Online in a special presenting mode.
