About selecting rasters in an image service definition
Legacy:
ArcGIS 10 is the last release of the stand-alone ArcGIS Image Server product. The image service definition (.ISDef) has been replaced by an improved geodatabase data model—the mosaic dataset—which can be published as an image service using the ArcGIS Server Image extension.
There are often multiple overlapping rasters in an image service definition, and it may be necessary to select only one raster. For example, you may want to view or modify the raster properties or delete the raster.
There are four main ways to select rasters in an image service definition:
- Using the Select Features tool on the Tools toolbar to select a footprint
- Opening the service table and selecting one or more rows
- Using one of the selection options available on the Footprint context menu
- Using the Identify tool
