Selecting rasters by pixel size

LegacyLegacy:

ArcGIS 10 is the last release of the stand-alone ArcGIS Image Server product. The image service definition (.ISDef) has been replaced by an improved geodatabase data model—the mosaic dataset—which can be published as an image service using the ArcGIS Server Image extension.

Steps:
  1. Right-click the Footprint layer in the table of contents and click Select > By Pixel Size.

This option allows you to select rasters within a given range of pixel sizes.

The Select By Pixel Size dialog box is displayed. The default is the currently displayed value.

  2. Click the Field drop-down arrow and click one of the pixel size field options to query: Low Pixel Size, High Pixel Size, Min. Pixel Size, or Max. Pixel Size.
  3. Click the Pixel Size drop-down arrow and click the required pixel size.
  4. Type the required percentage in the Tolerance text box.

The tolerance sets the upper and lower tolerance percentage limits for the pixel size you selected.

  5. Click the Method drop-down arrow and click one of the methods: Create a new selection, Add to current selection, Remove from current selection, or Select from current selection.
  6. Based on the values entered in the above-mentioned fields, a query is displayed in the Query text box. You can type your own query in this text box.
  7. Click OK to select the rasters.

The selected rasters are highlighted in the display view.
