Selecting rasters using the Select Features tool

LegacyLegacy:

ArcGIS 10 is the last release of the stand-alone ArcGIS Image Server product. The image service definition (.ISDef) has been replaced by an improved geodatabase data model—the mosaic dataset—which can be published as an image service using the ArcGIS Server Image extension.

You may find that the Select Features tool can be used in conjunction with opening the service table, especially when choosing the footprint of a raster that overlaps other footprints.

To choose from which layers rasters can be selected, click the Selection tab at the bottom of the table of contents and check or uncheck the layer from which you want to select rasters. For example, you may want to uncheck the Boundary layer.

Steps:
  1. Click the Select Features tool Select Features on the Tools toolbar.
  2. Click within one or more polygons representing the footprints in the data view.

Hold the SHIFT key to select more than one.

The selected footprints will become highlighted in an alternate color.
