Stopping services

To update the Data Appliance for ArcGIS data collections, ArcGIS services that utilize the Data Appliance services must be stopped.

Steps:
  1. Log in to ArcGIS for Server using the Data Appliance for ArcGIS data account with administrator privileges.
  2. Start ArcGIS Server Manager, and log in using your ArcGIS Server account.
  3. Click the Services tab.
  4. Click Manage Services to display a list of services.
  5. Check each service to select the services to stop.

    NoteNote:

    ¹ TA_Address_EU and TA_Address_NA_10 from the Basemap Collection 5.0 and ESRI_Places World from the World Collection 5.0 use a different directory structure than the services in the 4.0 data collections. You need to remove these services from your ArcGIS Server if you used the services in the 4.0 data collections. See Removing a geocode service for more information.

    ² TA_Address_NA was retired from the Basemap Collection 5.0. See Removing a geocode service for more information. ESRI_PlaceLabels_World was retired from World Collection 5.0. See Removing a globe service for more information.

    ³ ESRI_Route_EU and ESRI_Route_NA from the Basemap Collection 5.0 use a different directory structure than the services in the 4.0 data collections.   6. Click Stop to stop the selected services.
