Removing a routing service

If you previously used European Routing (ESRI_Route_EU) and/or North American Routing (ESRI_Route_NA) from the Data Appliance Basemap Collection 4.0 and you received a data collection upgrade for Data Appliance 5.0, you will need to remove these services from your ArcGIS Server and add them again. This is necessary because the directory structure for the routing services changed for Data Appliance 5.0. The instructions below describe how to remove a routing service from your ArcGIS for Server.

Steps:

1. Log in to ArcGIS for Server using an account with administrative privileges.
2. Start ArcGIS Server Manager, and log in using your ArcGIS for Server account.
3. In ArcGIS Server Manager, click the Services tab.
4. Check the check box next to the routing service you want to remove.
   • ESRI_Route_EU
   • ESRI_Route_NA
5. Optionally, pause the service by clicking Pause. After you do this, check the check box again.
6. Click Delete.
