Removing a geocode service
The North American Address Locator (TA_Address_NA) geocode service was retired from the Basemap Collection. It was replaced by the North American Address Locator (TA_Address_NA_10) that also was included in the Data Appliance Basemap Collection 4.0. If you previously used TA_Address_NA and received a data collection upgrade for Basemap Collection 5.0, the instructions below describe how to remove a geocode service from your ArcGIS for Server.

If you previously used the European Address Locator (TA_Address_EU) and/or the North American Address Locator (TA_Address_NA_10) from the Data Appliance Basemap Collection 4.0 or the World Places Locator (ESRI_Places World) from the Data Appliance World Collection 4.0 and you received a data collection upgrade for Data Appliance 5.0, you will need to remove these services from your ArcGIS for Server and add them again. This is necessary because the directory structure for the locator services changed for Data Appliance 5.0.
- Log in to ArcGIS for Server using an account with administrative privileges.
- Start ArcGIS Server Manager, and log in using your ArcGIS for Server account.
- In ArcGIS Server Manager, click the Services tab.
- Check the check box next to the geocode service you want to remove.
