A quick tour of the Aeronautical Solution

Dieses Thema gilt nur für ArcInfo.

This is a high-level overview of the Aeronautical Solution user interfaces and tools that allow you to manage aeronautical information and produce high-quality charts.

ArcToolbox

Aeronautical Solution includes a number of geoprocessing tools for all aspects of chart production including cartography, change detection, editing, data exchange, and obstruction identification surfaces.

Aeronautcal geoprocessing tools

Cartographic production

The Cartographic Production toolset contains tools that create and maintain cartographic features.

Change detection

The Change Detection toolset contains tools that track changes to aeronautical data that affect charts and reports them in the Reviewer table.

Data editing

The Data Editing toolset constains a tool that updates x and y attributes or geometry of point features.

Data exchange with AIXM

Geoprocessing tools allow you to import and export AIXM 4.5-compliant XML documents to and from the Aeronautical Information System (AIS) geodatabase. The geoprocessing dialog boxes allow you to specify the import or export parameters. The tools can be edited by accessing the Data Interoperability Workbench window from the tool shortcut menu.

Obstruction identification surfaces

The Obstruction Identification Surfaces toolset contains tool that create obstruction identification surfaces based on the specifications outlined in FAA FAR 77, ICAO Annex 14, and ICAO Annex 15.

Feature Builder

Dieser Abschnitt gilt nur für ArcInfo.

The Production Feature Builder toolbar and Feature Builder window allow you to create complex geodesic and ellipsoid features. In addition to simple functions (Point (Simple) and Polygon (Simple)), Feature Builder also contains aeronautical-specific functions (Bearing distance and Keyhole (One Point - Azimuth)).
