Hiding and showing annotation

The Hides Selected Feature(s) tool gives you a way to hide annotation quickly. The tool changes the IsVisible field from Visible to Not Visible. It does not delete the annotation from the database; it simply hides the visibility of the annotation feature. Definition queries can then filter out the annotation set to be hidden based on this field. You can also show hidden features by using the Reveals Selected Feature(s) tool.

Schritte:
  1. Start ArcMap.
    TippTipp:

If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Editing.
  3. Click the Production Start Editing button Production Start Editing on the Aeronautical Editing toolbar.
    HinweisHinweis:

The Manage Features and Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes windows automatically appear when you start an edit session using the Production Start Editing tool.

    TippTipp:

If the Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes window does not appear when you start an edit session, click the Link Feature Manager To Attributes Window button Show/Hide Attributes on the Manage Features window.

  4. Click the Edit Annotation button Edit Annotation on the Aeronautical Annotation toolbar.
  5. Click an annotation feature to select it.
  6. Verify that the annotation selected has been set as selectable.

The IsVisible field for the given feature is changed to Not Visible. Definition queries can be put in place to filter out the annotation based on this field.

  8. Click the Reveals Selected Feature(s) button Reveals Selected Feature(s) on the Aeronautical Editing toolbar to make the features visible.

The IsVisible field for the given feature is changed to Visible.

  9. Click the Save Edits button Save Edits.
  10. Click the Stop Editing button Stop Editing on the Aeronautical Editing toolbar.

The geodatabase becomes uneditable. If you have made edits, you are prompted to save the changes.
