Editing profile view elements

Adjacent profile view elements are connected through nodes and lines. When lines and points intersect (as in the intersection of a flight path and a vertical), a node is present. When a node is selected, the node selection is of a higher priority than the corresponding line endpoint. When a node is selected, the selection envelope of the point is identified by the four small vertices of the selection envelope, as shown in the image below.

When a line is selected, the endpoints of the line are identified by the filled boxes at either end of the line, as shown in the image below.

For example, drag the holding pattern to the opposite side of the vertical line.

  11. To add new text to a tray value element, perform the substeps below:
    1. Click the New Text button Neuer Text on the Aeronautical Profile Edit toolbar.
    2. Click the tray element.
    3. Type the text in the text box.
      TippTipp:

Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button Edit Instrument Approach Profile on the Aeronautical Terminal Procedures toolbar and move the text to the location you want.

  12. To change a flight path into a curved flight path, perform the substeps below:
    1. Click a flight path in the profile view to select it.
    2. Right-click the flight path and choose Create Curved Flight Path.
    3. Click the vertices of the selected flight path and drag the vertices to edit the curve.
  13. To create a straight flight path from a curved flight path, perform the substeps below:
    1. Click to select the curved flight.
    2. Right-click the selected flight path and choose Create Straight Flight Path.
    3. Click the vertices of the selected flight path and drag the vertices to edit it.
