Activating authentication in the Image Server Manager

LegacyLegacy:

ArcGIS 10 is the last release of the stand-alone ArcGIS Image Server product. The image service definition (.ISDef) has been replaced by an improved geodatabase data model—the mosaic dataset—which can be published as an image service using the ArcGIS Server Image extension.

NoteNote:

The service provider connected to a particular server has to be restarted when the authentication is changed.

Steps:
  1. Click Start > Programs > ArcGIS > Image Server > Server Manager 10.

The Image Server Manager window is displayed.

  2. Open an image server configuration file.
    1. In the Image Servers list, click the server name of the server you want to edit.
    2. Click the Edit The Server Configuration button Edit the server configuration.

The Server Configuration dialog box is displayed.

  3. After entering the required information, check the Activate authentication check box.
  4. Click OK.
