Pin a map to Start
If there is a map that you regularly access, and you want to open the app directly to that map instead of first going to the Map Hub, pin the map to Start either from the context menu or from the map details. The map then appears as a tile on the Start screen of your device, and tapping that tile opens the app to the map of interest.
When you pin a map to Start, it is a snapshot in time of how the app was set up. It gets a copy of the settings for the application, including your account information, measurement units, and bookmarks. If you sign out of the account in the main application, your map tile is unaffected and still has the same account connected as when the tile was created. if you change the measurement settings or bookmarks in either the app or in the map tile, the other is unaffected.
When opening a map from a tile on the Start screen, you are taken directly to the map and do not have access to the Map Hub. To access the Map Hub, reopen the application from its tile or entry in the device's programs list.
