Adding a CAD layer from a Catalog window

Steps:

1. Click the Catalog window button .
2. Navigate to the CAD dataset.
3. Expand the dataset if a specific CAD feature class is required.
4. Click and drag the CAD data into ArcMap.

Note:

Adding CAD data to ArcMap automatically creates a group layer for each CAD dataset and enables additional property tabs for managing the display of the underlying data.
