Construct a ShortcutName using a reference to such an object returned from ArcGIS Engine or Server. This is semantically equivalent to casting obj to ShortcutName.

Remarks

The Open method lets you instantiate the actual object given the name object.

Note: Opening a feature class that participates in a topology or geometric network will also open all other feature classes participating in the topology or geometric network in memory.

Description

The Path to the file. The data specified by the Path does not necessarily have to exist in a directory structure.

Remarks

When using a FileName, the IName::Open method does not function properly, so you need to use whatever programmatic file-access technique is appropriate from your
development environment standpoint.
