Edit the pop-up window content of a feature
A feature can have descriptive information that is displayed in a pop-up window when you click the feature. This descriptive information is based on the properties of the feature combined with the layer’s pop-up configuration that defines how that information is displayed in the pop-up.
- For features in layers created and stored in the map, like the default Map Notes layers, pop-up windows can contain a title, description, and also an image and hyperlink to related information. Each feature stores the content that its pop-up window will display.

- For features in configurable layers—layers that reference a map or feature service, or that were created by importing data—pop-up windows can be configured, and can contain either descriptive text and other media, the value of a single attribute of the feature, or a table of attributes. The configuration of the pop-up windows is defined once for all features in the layer.

This configuration can also determine how the attributes of features in an editable layer can be edited within the pop-up window.
