Sign in
You can use ArcGIS Explorer Online to view maps, groups, and content that are available on ArcGIS Online and add content to a map, without needing to sign in. However, signing in to ArcGIS Explorer Online with your ArcGIS Online account increases the power and functionality of the application; it lets you save and share your maps, upload and share content, join existing groups, create your own groups, and invite users to your group. Once you've signed in, the sign-in is valid for ArcGIS Explorer Online and the ArcGIS.com website; you will not have to sign in again if you switch between these sites.

If you have registered your Esri Global Account with ArcGIS Online, you can sign in by clicking the Sign In link on the right of the status area at the top of the application. This will open the Sign In dialog box where you can enter your details in the Username and Password boxes.
Note:You must have an Esri Global Account, and this account must be registered with ArcGIS Online, in order to sign in to ArcGIS Explorer Online. If you do not yet have an ArcGIS Online account, click the Sign up link shown near the bottom of the dialog box and register your Esri Global Account with ArcGIS Online, or create a new Esri Global Account if you do not yet have one.
Click the Forgot your password? link to reset your password if you've forgotten it. Don't forget that ArcGIS Online user names and passwords are case sensitive.
If you want, you can check the Keep me signed in option so that you do not have to sign in again when you reopen Explorer Online for the next two weeks, unless you specifically sign out.
Note:If your account is associated with an organization that is configured to allow only SSL access, your browser will automatically redirect to the secure site.
If your account is associated with an organization and is granted Administrator permissions for that organization, you will be able to access administrative settings for the organization. Click the drop-down arrow next to your username in the top right corner of the screen and click Administration. This opens a new browser window that allows you to view information about the organization and perform administrative tasks such as defining the gallery and content of the organization, inviting new users and removing users from the organization, and changing the permissions granted to other users within the organization.
Signing out
To sign out, click your user name at the right of the status area shown at the top of the application and choose Sign Out in the menu that appears.
Once you have signed in, you can open the home screen to create new maps, save them, and share them with others or with groups.
