Setting the SCAMIN lock attribute

The SCAMIN_LOCK attribute is a Boolean field at the feature level used to override the SCAMIN process.

SCAMIN_LOCK	Description
True	By setting the SCAMIN_LOCK equal to TRUE, the SCAMIN process will preserve the current SCAMIN attribute value on the feature and ignore settings in the SCAMIN.xml file.
False or Null	By setting the SCAMIN_LOCK equal to FALSE, the feature will be processed, and the SCAMIN will be set according to the SCAMIN.xml configuration.

SCAMIN Lock

Steps:

1. Start ArcMap.
2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Editing.
3. Click the Production Start Editing button on the Production Editing toolbar.
   Note:

   The Manage Features and Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes windows automatically appear when you start an edit session using the Production Start Editing tool.

   Tip:

   If the Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes window does not appear when you start an edit session, click the Show/Hide Attributes button on the Manage Features window.

4. Select a feature.
5. Click the Update Attributes window.
6. Locate the SCAMIN_LOCK attribute.
7. Change the attribute value to 1-locked.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click the Stop Editing button on the Production Editing toolbar.

   The geodatabase becomes uneditable. If you have made edits, you will be prompted to save the changes if you want.
