CAD feature dataset properties
To view CAD feature dataset properties in the Catalog window, right-click the CAD feature dataset and click Properties.
General tab
- Spatial Reference displays the name of the coordinate system.
- The Show Details check box adds information about the units and datum to the Spatial Reference box.
- The Edit button opens the Spatial Reference Properties dialog box.
Coordinates tab
- World File displays the coordinates for the control points stored in the companion world (.wld) file. If a world file does not exist, the extents of the CAD file are shown.
- CAD Dataset Extents displays the x,y coordinates for the minimum bounding rectangle defined by the CAD data. Similarly, the z-coordinates describe the vertical extents. A CAD dataset with z-values can contain 2D geometry positioned at an elevation, 3D feature data, or 3D surface data.
Details tab
- CAD Dataset displays the full path, CAD file type, and format version of the drawing.
- CAD Dataset Feature Counts displays the total number of CAD features in the drawing for each generic CAD feature class type: annotation, multipatch, point, polygon, and polyline.
