Defining view settings

The View Settings button View Settings allows you to set how your current map's data frame and layer will be affected when a view is applied, when a view is not defined as static. You can choose to either keep or override current map settings for both data frame settings and layer settings. However, changes you make to these settings persist between ArcMap sessions.

步骤:
  1. Click the View Settings button View Settings on the Production Symbology toolbar.

The View Settings dialog box appears.

    View Settings dialog box
  2. Click the drop-down arrow and choose Keep Current Map Settings, Override Current Map Settings, or Append to Current map (or the Layer List only) for each of the following data frame and layer settings:
    • Coordinate System—This option uses the data frame's current coordinate system in place of the coordinate system stored with the selected view setting to display the map. The default is Keep Current Map Settings.
    • Scale—This option uses the data frame's current scale setting in place of the scale setting stored with the selected view setting to display the map. The default is Keep Current Map Settings.
    • Reference Scale—This option uses the data frame's current reference scale in place of the reference scale stored with the selected view setting to display the map. The default is Keep Current Map Settings.

The default is Override Current Map Settings.
