Committing records to the Reviewer table from the map

You can manually commit records to the Reviewer table. You can select a feature in the map and click the Commit To Reviewer Table button. This allows you to capture errors that might be found from other methods of analysis, like visual review, using the results of queries or any tools, like geoprocessing, that run in ArcMap and return selected sets of features.

When this method is used, you can also add notes related to the record and assign it a severity, which indicates the importance of the record. The lower the number, the greater the priority.

  1. Start ArcMap.
    提示提示:

    If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Data Reviewer.
  3. Start a Reviewer session.
  4. Select a single feature in the map.
  5. Click the Commit To Reviewer Table button Commit to Reviewer Table on the Data Reviewer toolbar.

    If you select more than one feature, a message appears and notifies you that only one feature can be selected.

  6. Click a Reviewer status option in the Enter Review Status list.

    If you choose Add Feature, Delete Feature, Move Feature, Reshape Line, or Reshape Area, the value appears in the Description text box, but it remains editable.

    If you choose Custom or Change Subtype to, the Description text becomes editable.

  7. If necessary, type a description for the Review status in the Description text box.
  8. If necessary, type additional details about the feature in the Notes text box.
  9. If necessary, click the Severity drop-down arrow and choose a value that indicates the priority of the feature that is being committed to the Reviewer table.
  10. Click OK.

The record is added to the Reviewer table.
