Sorting map sheets

Checking the Automatically Sort Map Sheets check box on the Sort Options tab of the Map Series Properties dialog box allows you to sort map sheets by one of two methods:

• Page Number—Sorts the map sheets by page number.
• Map Sheet Name—Sorts the map sheets alphabetically by name.

1. Start ArcMap.
   ヒント:

   If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

2. On the main menu, click Customize → Toolbars → MPS Atlas.
3. Click the MPS Atlas window button on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

   The MPS Atlas window appears.

4. Right-click the map series on the MPS Atlas window and click Map Series Properties.

   The Map Series Properties dialog box appears.

5. Click the Sort Options tab.
6. Check the Automatically Sort Map Sheets check box if you want map sheets sorted automatically.
7. Click Page Number to sort by page number or Map Sheet Name to sort by name.
8. Click OK.

You can also select the same sorting options in this tab by right-clicking the map series and choosing Sort Map Sheets By Name or Sort By Page Number.
