Toggling the Auto-pick functionality
The turn Auto-Pick On/Off button command ensures that the point collected is actually associated with a feature in the map. For example, having the snapping enabled ensures that the point is aligned with a feature in the reference layer. By default, this functionality is enabled.

- Start ArcMap.

If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.
- If necessary, load data in the map.
- On the main menu, click Customize → Toolbars → Data Reviewer.
- On the Data Reviewer toolbar, click Data Reviewer → Positional Accuracy Assessment.
The Positional Accuracy Assessment toolbar appears.
- Start a PAAT session.

Click the Auto-Pick Off button
on the Positional Accuracy Assessment toolbar.
The snapping functionality is disabled.

To enable snapping, click the Auto-Pick On button on the Positional Accuracy Assessment toolbar.
