Moving anchor points

The Anchor Point Mover tool updates annotation features whose leader line anchor points have moved due to decreasing leader line length. This tool moves the anchor points for selected annotation features to where they should be located.

For each selected annotation feature in the map document, the tool moves the anchor point of any feature whose text background uses a callout feature to the centroid of the polygon feature to which the annotation is linked.

If the feature is a point feature, the tool moves the anchor point to the point feature itself.

If the annotation is not linked to any feature, then nothing is done with the annotation.

1. Start ArcMap.
   ヒント:

   If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

2. On the main menu, click Customize → Toolbars → Aeronautical Editing.
3. Click the Production Start Editing button on the Aeronautical Editing toolbar.
   メモ:

   The Manage Features and Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes windows automatically appear when you start an edit session using the Production Start Editing tool.

   ヒント:

   If the Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes window does not appear when you start an edit session, click the Link Feature Manager To Attributes Window button on the Manage Features window.

4. On the main menu, click Customize → Toolbars → Aeronautical Annotation.
5. Click the Edit Annotation button on the Aeronautical Annotation toolbar.
6. Select an annotation feature whose anchor point and/or leader line has extended across the chart map page.
7. Click the Anchor Point Mover button on the Aeronautical Annotation toolbar.

   A progress bar appears. When the update is completed, the anchor point moves to the correct position.
