Adding a new data model

If your data model is not in the product library, you need to add it. When you create a new data model, you need to provide the following information:

  1. Start ArcMap.

    If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. If necessary, open the Product Library window by clicking Customize Production Product Library on the main menu.

  3. Right-click the Product Library icon on the window and click Properties.

    The Product Library Properties dialog box appears.

  4. Click the cell next to Set Tool Options.
  5. Click the drop-down arrow that appears and click the ellipsis (...) next to Data Models.

  6. Click New.

    The New Data Model Version dialog box appears.

  7. Click New.

  8. Type the name of the data model in the Name text box.

    This is also the name that appears next to the data model version.

  9. If necessary, type an alias for the data model in the Alias text box.
  10. If necessary, type a description of the data model in the Description text box.
    ヒントヒント:

    This can be a brief description of the data model or the meaning of an acronym that has been used as the name or alias.

  11. Click OK.

    The New Data Model Version dialog box appears.

  12. Click OK.

    The Data Models dialog box appears with all the feature datasets and tables included in the model.

  13. Check the Version check box next to each table and feature dataset you want versioned in an ArcSDE geodatabase.
  14. Check the Archive check box next to each table and feature dataset you want to archive.
  15. Click OK.

Once a data model is created, you can change its alias or description on the Data Models or New Data Model Version dialog box.
