Using a UTM zone for spatial reference

You can choose to configure the spatial reference to update the coordinate system based on the area of interest location by calculating the UTM zone. When you choose the UTM Zone option, the UTM zone that is at the center point of the area of interest is used.

1. Click UTM Zone.

   The UTM zone is selected using the center point of the map sheet area of interest (AOI).

2. Click Next.

   The Buffer dialog box appears.
