About selecting rasters in an image service definition

There are often multiple overlapping rasters in an image service definition, and it may be necessary to select only one raster. For example, you may want to view or modify the raster properties or delete the raster.

There are four main ways to select rasters in an image service definition:

• Using the Select Features tool on the Tools toolbar to select a footprint
• Opening the service table and selecting one or more rows
  • Interactively
  • By attribute
• Using one of the selection options available on the Footprint context menu
  • By pixel size
  • By raster type
  • By status
  • By attribute
  • Within the current view and pixel size
• Using the Identify tool
