Creating features using unit conversion
When features are created in a nautical production geodatabase, if you have unit conversion values preconfigured in your product library, all the fields designated as unit conversion fields are converted based on the field input and the unit type selected on the Nautical Unit Selection toolbar. For example, if you create a linear BRIDGE feature and give the HORCLR attribute a value of 12, and your height unit (HUNI) value is set to Meters, all unit conversion fields are converted from Meters to their respected units based on the conversion value you have defined in your product library.
You can configure your own unit conversion and rounding rules using the product library workspace XML file that is included in the Nautical Solution.
