Description

Locator is not valid.

Solution

From the Business Analyst drop-down menu, select Preferences. Select the Datasets tab and click the navigate button next to the Choose an address locator drop-down button and navigate to the following directory: ...Program Files\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\Data\USA Geocoding Service, then select the USA Geocoding Service locator (if you are using a nonstandard locator point to that locator instead). A windows error may have occurred to break this link to the locator. The following steps will reestablish the link and allow you to geocode customer and store files. If the problem persists it is suggested you replace the existing locator with the standard Business Analyst locator which can be found on your Business Analyst DVD installation disc.
