Changing the vertical symbology to a solid column with a cone

You can change the symbology of a vertical line representing a navaid or a designated point in the profile view to a solid column with an embedded cone by using the Solid Column With Cone tool.

The default symbology of the vertical line is configured in the profile view settings.

Pasos:
  1. Start ArcMap.

    If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
  3. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Terminal Procedures.
  4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aeronautical Profile Edit.
  5. Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button Edit Instrument Approach Profile on the Aeronautical Terminal Procedures toolbar.
  6. Select a vertical line.
  7. Click the Solid Column With Cone button Solid Column With Cone on the Aeronautical Profile Edit toolbar.

A solid column with a cone replaces the existing vertical line symbology.

You can change the symbology again by selecting a vertical line and clicking any of the other vertical line symbology tools.
