Flashing an area of interest in the map

You can display a component in the map from the Product Library window. For example, you can display the area of interest for a single product or multiple areas of interest for a series.

Once several areas of interest are displayed in the map, you can locate one particular area of interest by flashing it in the map display. For instance, you could display areas of interest for all the products within a map series and individually flash them in the map display to see where they are located in relation to one another.

Pasos:
  1. Start ArcMap.

    If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. If necessary, open the Product Library window by clicking Customize > Production > Product Library on the main menu.

  3. Navigate to the area of interest you want to view in the product library.
  4. Right-click the area of interest and click Flash.

    The area of interest flashes in the map.
