Hiding the incomplete composite template

There may be situations in which you are unable to fix an incomplete composite template. For example, you should not delete an incomplete composite template when you still use the feature templates on which the composite template is based but choose not to display one of those layers.

Incomplete templates cannot be used to create new features. In these situations, you can hide the incomplete templates so they are no longer displayed on the Create tab.

Pasos:
  1. Start ArcMap.
    SugerenciaSugerencia:

If the ArcMap - Getting Started dialog box appears, you can open a new or existing map document. You can also check the Do not show this dialog box in the future check box and click Open.

  2. If necessary, load data in the map.
  3. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Editing.
  4. Click the Production Start Editing button Production Start Editing on the Production Editing toolbar.
    NotaNota:

The Manage Features and Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes windows automatically appear when you start an edit session using the Production Start Editing tool.

    SugerenciaSugerencia:

If the Create Attributes, Update Attributes, or Metadata Attributes window does not appear when you start an edit session, click the Link Feature Manager To Attributes Window button Show/Hide Attributes on the Manage Features window.

  5. Click the Create tab on the Manage Features window.
  6. Right-click an incomplete composite template on the Create tab on the Manage Features window, then uncheck the Show Incomplete Templates option.

The incomplete templates are removed from the Create tab.

    NotaNota:

These templates are not deleted and will be visible if you enable the Show Incomplete Templates option or add the missing layer to complete the composite template.
