Installing ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server

Installing the server object container component

If you have chosen to install the server object container (SOC) on a machine separate from the server object manager (SOM), you will need to install the SOC component of Workflow Manager on each of your SOC machines. This topic only discusses installing the server object container component for Workflow Manager Server. You will need to install the Workflow Manager server object manager component on the designated SOM machine.

Prerequisite:
  • Close all applications on your computer.
  • Verify that your computer meets the system requirements.
  • Insert the Workflow Manager media. If you downloaded the software, browse to the location of the downloaded files.
Steps:
  1. Execute ESRI.exe on your DVD and select Workflow Manager Server Install from the list of products. If you have downloaded the file from the ESRI site, execute the ESRI.exe from the location where you extracted the contents of the download.

    The Workflow Manager startup dialog box presents the welcome screen.

  2. Click Next.

    The License Acceptance dialog box appears.

  3. Read the license agreement, choose to accept, then click Next.

    The User Information dialog box appears.

  4. Enter the information and click Next.
  5. Choose the location where you want Workflow Manager Server installed and click Next.

    A dialog box appears detailing the features that will be installed and the disk requirements for each.

  6. You can select the SOC component by checking it and unchecking the other components.
    1. Click the drop-down arrow on the left of the server object container component feature from the list.
    2. Select Will be Installed on local hard drive to install the server object container component.
    3. Select all other features and choose Entire feature will be unavailable to unselect these features for installation.
  7. Click Next to begin the installation.
  8. Follow the directions on the screen to complete installation.
