Installing ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server

Installing the server object manager component

The server object manager and server object container can be installed on the same machine or on different machines. In this installation scenario, the server object manager will be installed on a machine separate from the server object container. This topic only discusses installing the server object manager component for Workflow Manager Server. You will need to install the Workflow Manager Server object component on all the other SOC machines you have configured.

Prerequisite:
  • Close all applications on your computer.
  • Verify that your computer meets the system requirements.
  • Insert the Workflow Manager media. If you downloaded the software, browse to the location of the downloaded files.
Steps:
  1. Execute ESRI.exe on your DVD and select Workflow Manager Server Install from the list of products. If you have downloaded the file from the ESRI site, execute the ESRI.exe from the location where you extracted the contents of the download.

    The Workflow Manager startup dialog box appears.

  2. Click Next.

    The License Acceptance dialog box appears.

  3. Read the license agreement, choose to accept, then click Next.

    The User Information dialog box appears.

  4. Enter the information and click Next.
  5. Choose the location where you want Workflow Manager installed and click Next.

    A dialog box appears detailing the features that will be installed and the disk requirements for each.

  6. You can select the SOM component by checking it and unchecking the other components.
    1. Click the drop-down arrow on the left of the server object manager component feature from the list.
    2. Select Will be Installed on local hard drive to install the server object manager component.
    3. Select all other features and choose Entire feature will be unavailable to unselect these features for installation.
  7. Click Next to begin the installation.
  8. Follow the directions on the screen to complete the installation.
