Theming

The ArcGIS Map Web Part allows specifying its theme colors. The theme colors are applied to dialogs, panels, the Map Center, the Navigation control, and other parts of the user interface. The Map Web Part's theming functionality also integrates with SharePoint 2010 site themes; the colors that are available for selection on the color palette include the theme colors of the current SharePoint site. To change the theme, click the Theme drop-down menu in the Theme group on the Application tab. In the drop down, you can specify colors for the Background, Accents, and Selections. Any changes will be reflected in the Map Web Part immediately.

Specifying theme colors

You have two approaches to use when changing the theme colors. The first is to use Theme button alone and see the changes in the web part as you make them. The second approach is to use the Theme button along with the Preview button. The Preview button will open a dialog that allows you to see how the theme colors are applied to differing components of the Map Web Part's user interface. This approach is described below.

1. Click the Preview button:
2. The Preview Theme dialog appears:
3. Click the Theme button to open the drop-down menu:

Background color

1. To change the background fill, click Fill .
   • Create a solid background.
     1. Click Solid then select the color of your choice:
     2. The web part and the Preview Theme dialog display the new background:

   • Create a gradient background.
     1. Click Gradient, then click the left gradient button on the bottom of the dialog. Select your color, then click on the right gradient button on the bottom of the dialog and select your color:
        Note:

        If you require finer control over a color, click the More link located below the color palette.

     2. The web part and the Preview Theme dialog display the new background:

1. To change background text color, click Text .
   1. The color palette appears:
   2. Select the color of your choice. The web part and Preview dialog display the new background text color:

Accent color

1. To change the accent fill, click Fill .
   1. The color selector dialog appears:
   2. Select the color of your choice and the web part and Preview dialog display the new accent fill color:
2. To change the accent text, click Text .
   1. The color selector dialog appears:
   2. Select the color of your choice and the web part and Preview dialog display the new accent text color:

Selection color

1. To change the selection fill, click Fill .
   1. The color selector dialog appears:
   2. Select the color of your choice and the web part and Preview dialog display the new selection fill color:
2. To change the selection text, click Outline .
   1. The color selector dialog appears:
   2. Select the color of your choice and the web part and the Preview dialog display the new selection outline color:

Resetting theme colors

To reset the Map Web Part's theme to the default colors, simply click the Reset button:

Pop-Up border width
