Geocoding a list item

In addition to geocoding entire SharePoint lists, the ArcGIS Geocoding workflow also allows you to geocode individual list items. To do so, you first must associate the ArcGIS Geocoding workflow with a list. Refer to the topic Geocoding addresses for instructions on how this is done. Then you can run the workflow on an individual list item as follows:

1. Navigate to the list in your browser and check the check box for the list item to geocode. On the Items tab, click the Workflows button:
   The workflow page for the item opens.
2. Under the Start a New Workflow section, click the button next to the name of the ArcGIS Geocoding workflow that has been associated with the list. In the image below, the workflow has been named StoreLocationsWorkflow:
   Once the workflow starts, the list is once again shown in the browser. The list includes a column that shows the workflow's status.
