Prerequisites

Before deploying ArcGIS for SharePoint, the following prerequisites must be met. These apply to any server that hosts web applications that make use of ArcGIS Mapping functionality:

• Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 or Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 must be installed.

• ArcGIS for SharePoint relies on the Microsoft Silverlight platform. Therefore, a set of MIME types to support Silverlight applications must be present on the web server that will host web applications that use ArcGIS for SharePoint. The following MIME types are required:

  • .xaml application/xaml+xml

  • .xap application/x-silverlight-app

  • .xbap application/x-ms-xbap
