Labels feature layers in a map.
Product Availability
Description
The MaplexAnnotateMap object creates annotation and displays dynamic labels. For this purpose it uses the MaplexOverposter object internally.
The usage of MaplexAnnotateMap is identical to that of Carto::AnnotateMap. These two objects represent the highest level at which the label engines can be driven.
Supported Platforms
Extended Error Information
Use the ISupportErrorInfo method InterfaceSupportsErrorInfo to determine if the object supports extended error information. If the object supports extended error info, VC++ developers should use the OLE/COM IErrorInfo interface to access the ErrorInfo object. Visual Basic developers should use the global error object Err to retrieve this extended error information.
Interfaces
Interfaces | Description |
---|---|
IAnnotateMap (esriCarto) | Provides access to members that control the Labeling (annotation) of a map. |
IAnnotateMap2 (esriCarto) | Provides access to members that control the Labeling (annotation) of a map. |
IConnectionPointContainer | Supports connection points for connectable objects. |
IMaplexAnnotateMap | Provides access to members that control the Labeling (annotation) of a map. |
IPersist | Defines the single method GetClassID, which is designed to supply the CLSID of an object that can be stored persistently in the system. IPersist is the base interface for three other interfaces: IPersistStorage, IPersistStream, and IPersistFile. |
IPersistStream (esriSystem) | |
ISupportErrorInfo | Indicates whether a specific interface can return Automation error objects. |
Event Interfaces
Interfaces | Description |
---|---|
IAnnotationErrorEvents (default) | Provides access to events that occur when errors occur with the annotation objects. |
Working with Events
When working with MaplexAnnotateMap's default outbound interface in Visual Basic 6 declare variables as follows: Private WithEvents pMaplexAnnotateMap as MaplexAnnotateMap
