How to use
See How to use ArcGIS samples for help on running the sample. If the sample has associated data, you will find that the sample's zip file includes a "data" folder alongside the language folders. However, you will need to update the sample to point to the location of the data once you have extracted all the files.
- Run the application. Since this is a command-line application, you can use Ant to run it, you can execute its Java Archive (JAR) file from the command line, or you can use your integrated development environment (IDE) to compile and run it. As with all other samples, this application requires no arguments to run.
- This application consumes a source shapefile and prints the shapefile's feature class information, including dataset name, feature type, geometry type, and field metadata.
