Changing the target value

Esri Redistricting Online lets you change the target value for each district. Using this method, you can type in a new value for the target value as free text.

When using Esri Redistricting Online for precincting, this feature may be helpful when the capacity of polling places may vary per district. To modify the target value for each district, follow the steps below.

Steps:

1. On the Create ribbon, click Districts.

   The District Statistics window appears. The District Statistics window displays the districts in your current plan, the symbology for each district, and the total population count for each district and demographics per district. You can also view the target mean.

2. Click Modify.

   The Modify Districts dialog box appears.

3. Click to select the target value you want to change.
4. Type a new target value in the text field.
5. Repeat step 3-4 as needed.
6. Click OK.

   The target value is updated. You can check the Show Target Values to display the target values in the District Statistics dialog box.
