Changing the drawing order

Changing the drawing order alters the order in which layers are drawn on the map. The drawing order can affect the appearance of the map and can be modified for all layers in the map contents, with the exception of the basemap.

Steps:

1. Enable the Search panel by clicking the right arrow next to the scale bar to expand the side panel.
2. Click Content .
3. Click to highlight a layer on the map.

   The Tools ribbon expands to display additional tools.

   Note:

   Layer options may vary. You may see more or fewer options in the Tools ribbon based on the highlighted layer.

4. On the Tools ribbon, choose the desired drawing order:
   • Bring to Front brings the layer to the top of all other layers on your map.
   • Bring Forward moves the layer one position forward on the map.
   • Send to Back puts the layer at the bottom of all other services on your map.
   • Send Backward moves the layer one position backward on the map.
