Modifying the appearance of district plans

You can customize the appearance of district plans to your preferences. You can modify the display of district lines, locks, and names, including shortening names and showing the total population for each district.

Steps:
  1. Click the Create ribbon.
  2. Modify the district appearance by enabling or disabling the following options:
    Districts Appearance options
    • Display Lines—By default, the Display Lines option is unchecked, which shows each district filled according to the defined symbology color. See Changing district symbology. When the Display Lines option is checked, only the district boundaries are shown on the map.

    • Display Locks—By default, the Display Locks option is turned on. This allows you to see any locks that are in your district plan.
      TipTip:

When locks are visible, you can see both district locks and geography-specific locks. In the example image below, geography locks are outlined in a darker grey hatch pattern.
