Drawing a free polygon
Esri Redistricting Online supports mark-up on district maps. You can draw free polygons to accommodate areas with unique details, such as the curvature of county boundaries or natural barriers such as rivers or lakes.
Steps:
- On the Review ribbon, click Draw Free Polygon.
- Click on the map to draw a free polygon.
Hold the left mouse button as you draw the free polygon. The polygon is drawn on the map according to the location of the pointer. Release the left mouse button to complete the polygon.
Once you have digitized a mark-up feature, you can customize attributes such as changing the line color, transparency, or thickness. For more information on how to customize mark-up features, see Modifying mark-up attributes.
