Exporting a plan to KML

Esri Redistricting Online provides the ability to export plans for sharing with other systems and applications. You can export a plan to a KML file for compatibility with ArcGIS Explorer or third-party software such as Google Earth.

Steps:
  1. On the File ribbon, click Export.
    Export option on File ribbon
  2. Select KML.

    The Export Plan dialog box appears and lets you know the export is complete.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Navigate to a location to store the export plan.
  5. Enter a name for the export and include a file type, for example, Alabama.kmz.
    NoteNote:

    The KMZ file consists of a KML file and zero or more supporting files. By default, the file extension is set to .kmz.

  6. Click Save.

    The exported plan is saved to a KML file in the output directory.
