Setting the default country settings

With OnSite Solution, you can set and save the default country, measurement units, and numeric formatting to be used each time you log in to the application. Establishing country preferences allows you to define frequently accessed settings to let you work more efficiently.

Steps:
  1. On the Task Menu, click Edit Preferences.

  2. Click Country Settings.

    The Country Settings preferences appear.

  3. Select a default country from the drop down menu.

    The default country field lets you define a country that will be the selected country each time you log onto the OnSite application.

  4. Select default measurement units from the drop down menu.

    You can opt between metric and US Customary. Metric values include units such as meters and kilometers. US Customary values include units such as miles and feet. The measurement units will affect study areas' rings and donut units.

  5. Select the default numeric formatting from the drop down menu.

    In this step, you can select the country whose numeric formatting you want to display in the application. For example, in the United States commas are used in numeric formatting, such as 25,000. Where as in Mexico, periods are used in numeric formatting, such as 25.000.

  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click Next.

    A confirmation message appears to let you know the preference is saved and provides additional workflows you can explore.

  8. Click one of the following:

    Back to Preferences

    This option returns you to the start panel for the Edit Preferences wizard.

    Additional Tasks

    This option exits the Edit Preferences wizard and launches the Task Menu for additional options.

    Return to Map

    This option exits the Edit Preferences wizard and launches the Task Menu for additional options.
