Understanding annotation sets
There are a variety of rules and limitations when working with annotation sets. This topic describes how OnSite Solution works with annotation sets.
Below is a list of annotation set rules:
- You can create up to 20 annotation sets containing the following types of annotations:
- Predefined shapes
- Images
- Text
- Arrows
- Straight line polyline (geometry)
- Straight line polygon (geometry)
- Freehand polyline (geometry)
- Freehand polygon (geometry)
- An annotation set may contain up to 20 predefined shape annotations
- An annotation set map contain up to 20 image annotations
- An annotation set may contain up to 5 geometry annotations
- An annotation set may contain up to 8 arrow annotations
- You can click an annotation on the map to display a menu of available actions when creating a new annotation set or editing an existing annotation set
- You can select from 36 default predefined shape annotations
- Predefined shape annotations will be anchored at a single point on the map at a location you have specified
- You can perform the following actions on predefined shape annotations:
- Change line color
- Change line thickness
- Change line transparency
- Change fill color
- Change fill transparency
- Edit text
- Move
- Resize
- Rotate
- Delete
- Image annotations will be anchored at a single point on the map specified by the user
- The user will be able to upload images to create image annotations
- Images for image annotations must be JPEGs or PNGs with dimensions less than or equal to 500 x 500 pixels
- You may perform the following actions on image annotations:
- Change line color
- Change line thickness
- Change line transparency
- Edit text
- Edit images
- Move
- Resize
- Rotate
- Delete
- You can enter up to 256 characters for text annotation
- You can perform the following actions on text annotations:
- Change line color
- Change line thickness
- Change line transparency
- Change fill color
- Change fill transparency
- Edit text
- Move
- Resize
