Step 3: Naming a study area

Each study area needs to have a name. The name given to a study area appears in a marker on the application once the study area is saved.

At any time, you can edit study area information via the Data Manager.

Steps:
  1. Create a new study area.
  2. Define a study area type (Optional).

    Depending on the method you used to create a study area, the workflow may not have the option to define a study area type.

  3. Enter a name for the study area in the Study Area field.

  4. Enter a study area description (Optional).
  5. Select a property type from the drop-down menu (Optional).
  6. Select a folder in which to save the study area (Optional).
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Next.

    The Create a Study Area wizard proceeds to the final step in the wizard. See Additional study area options.
