Managing user points
In the data manager library, you can manage user points. You can make a user point active. You can also delete, move, edit, and copy user points.
In this topic, you will learn how to perform the following:
- Activate user points
- Delete user points
- Move user points to user defined folders
- Edit user point image, name, or description
- Download user points
Activate user points
Study areas can be activated within the data manager library.

On the Task Menu, click Open Data Manager.
The Data Manager dialog box opens. On the left panel is a library that contains all study areas, user points, reports, and annotations. By default the Study Areas folder is selected. All study areas for your account are displayed in tabular form.

In the Library tree view, click to highlight the User Points folder.
The data manager library displays all user points in your user account.
- Click to highlight the desired user point(s).
- Drag the user point to the Active User Points table.
The selected user point is now an active user point.
At any time you can click Exit Manager to close the data manager library.
Delete user points
Using the data manager library, you can remove user points from your account.

On the Task Menu, click Open Data Manager.
The Data Manager dialog box opens. On the left panel is a library that contains all study areas, user points, reports, and annotations. By default the Study Areas folder is selected. All study areas for your account are displayed in tabular form.

In the Library tree view, click to highlight the User Points folder.
The data manager library displays all user points in your user account.
- Click to highlight the desired user point(s).
- Click Recycle Bin
.
A confirmation message appears to confirm the delete.
- Click Yes.
The selected user point is deleted.
At any time you can click Exit Manager to close the data manager library.
Move user points to user defined folders
You can use the data manager library to organize and move user points into custom folders.

On the Task Menu, click Open Data Manager.
The Data Manager dialog box opens. On the left panel is a library that contains all study areas, user points, reports, and annotations. By default the Study Areas folder is selected. All study areas for your account are displayed in tabular form.

In the Library tree view, click to highlight the User Points folder.
The data manager library displays all user points in your user account.
- Click to highlight the desired user point(s).
- Drag and drop the user point into the user defined folder tree.
The user point is moved to a user defined folder.
At any time you can click Exit Manager to close the data manager library.
Edit user points image, name, or description
Use the data manager library to edit information about a user point. You can edit information such as the user poing image, name, or description.

On the Task Menu, click Open Data Manager.
The Data Manager dialog box opens. On the left panel is a library that contains all study areas, user points, reports, and annotations. By default the Study Areas folder is selected. All study areas for your account are displayed in tabular form.

In the Library tree view, click to highlight the User Points folder.
The data manager library displays all user points in your user account.
- Click the user point field to edit. You can edit any of the following user point fields:
- Image
- Name
- Description
The user point field is turns into edit mode.
At any time you can click Exit Manager to close the data manager library.
Download user points
Using the data manager library, you can download user points to a CSV file.

The Data Manager dialog box opens. On the left panel is a library that contains all study areas, user points, reports, and annotations. By default the Study Areas folder is selected. All study areas for your account are displayed in tabular form.

In the Library tree view, click to highlight the User Points folder.
The data manager library displays all user points in your user account.
- Click to highlight the desired user point(s).
- Click Download.
A CSV file is created that contains the user points.
At any time you can click Exit Manager to close the data manager library.
